Tennis!

We have been taking advantage of a wonderful opportunity at Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club, very reasonable priced tennis coaching with happens to be one to one as so far we are the only ones who have turned up.  Not complaining about that.  There have been four sessions so far and two have been stunning bright sunshine and two have been called of due to torrential rain.  So far it has alternated which means it is due to pour this Wednesday, we are hoping for a break in the pattern.

A lovely day at Moira Furnace with a talk about Victorian laundry day and a tour of the furnace.  It was nicely balanced and kept the little ones attention without patronising the teen!

A picnic followed and when I just couldn't tolerate the hot then cold weather any longer Beth found a friend to take her home and I came back to a lovely refreshing hot bath.

What better to do on a hot sticky day than wild water swimming, wished I had bought my own costume it looked such fun.

I took my camera with a telephoto lens on to try and get some bird photos but I hadn't taken Sophia into account, it was a full time job preventing her from bouncing over picnic blankets, stealing food and being far too loving to the little ones. 

I did manage to capture a swan though!

Was the subject of Wildlife and Wellies this Friday

The pleasure this big pile of rubbish brought to some of the young boys was a joy to behold  : )
